pony rides, BBQ, children’s moonwalk, 9 acre corn maze and other fall fun events!!!

The Cider Barn
Fresh Apple Cider... Come and taste what four generations of customers have been excited about for decades. The Apple Harvest will be in full swing. We will be offering tractor pulled hayrides around the orchard Saturday and Sunday.

Grand Opening of Corn Maze - September 1st & 2nd
with our Apple Scavenger Hunt Challenge. Apples are hidden throughout the maze. These sign posts will have a paper punch attached so you can record all of your finds, and a prize will be awarded if you can find them all.

Laura the Elephant Weekends - September 22nd & 23rd and 29th & 30th
Laura has been a family tradition for over 20 years at Flavor Fruit Farm. Don't miss this opportunity for her appearances in 2007.

Great Pumpkin Harvest - October 6th & 7th
The pumpkin harvest will begin and we will be offering free hayrides to the pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest - October 20th & 21st

Bring your decorated and/or carved pumpkin to the Pumpkin Tent between 10 am and Noon on Saturday October 20th. Pumpkins will be judged on creativity and originality.

- Class 1- 4 to 7 years old
- Class 2- 8 to 10 years old
- Class 3- 11 to 15 years old
- Class 4- 16 years and older
- Class 5- Group (two or more)

Halloween Weekend - October 27th & 28th
Saturday Costume Parade 3:00 pm. Children 12 and under will receive free candy and a
tractor pulled hayride around the farm when in costume.

Kids Corner Project - Decorate your own Halloween mask.

SCARECROW CHALLENGE
Design your own scarecrow and bring it out between October 6th and October 7th. Ballots will be available through Saturday October 27th and the winner will be announced the 28th. Groups or individuals are eligible to enter. Each entry must be prepared to stand on its own props. Flavor Fruit Farm will place the entries as they are submitted around the perimeter of the store. Rubber, plastic or store bought masks are not allowed. Each entry must be constructed to withstand all weather conditions. Scarecrows must be firmly packed. If fresh vegetables are used, replace as necessary. All scarecrows must be named. Use a small sign no larger than 11"x 17". Creators are responsible for keeping their scarecrow in good viewing and picture taking condition from set-up until award day. Any scarecrow deemed “ruined” by our staff will be removed in 24 hours. Breakdown and remove scarecrows by November 1, 2007. Please no excessively violent scarecrows.

The Maze is an intricate design carved into a 9.5 acre cornfield. Owned by Ray Meckley, owner Flavor Fruit Farm, it is designed by Brett Herbst - now the world's leading designer of 600+ corn mazes. Designed to challenge the wits of those attemping to find the one exit from more then two miles of twists, turns and dead ends, the puzzle provides a unique source of good farmin' fun for adults and children alike.

Elementary Students Get Lost!
Thousands of children will be getting lost at Flavor Fruit Farm...but this is one occasion when worried moms won't need to call out the search parties. In a field trip experience unlike any other, all area elementary have been invited to experience hands-on learning about agriculture when they attempt to find their way through the 9.5 acre cornfield maze at Flavor Fruit Farm.
